Laura Pearce, Senior Operations Executive at IGA caught up with Laura Hill to find out more about her background and how she has found her first couple of weeks working at IGA. You can read more in the article below.
Hi Laura, welcome to the IGA Family. We’re delighted to have you on board! How has your first month been?
Thanks! It has been incredible! I am genuinely loving every minute. The whole company has such a warm and positive vibe. Everyone has been so kind and welcoming, helping me to settle in and learn the ropes.
You have a really interesting career so far! Tell us a bit about your background and career to date.
Yes, it has definitely been an interesting and exciting ride so far! I lived in LA for nine years which was a fun lifestyle, and I worked in real estate. When I moved back to the UK at the end of 2020 I took a few months out. I then started working in the finance industry, focusing on business development within the investment and wealth management space. This, plus my love for real estate, ignited my interest in all things finance! When IGA approached me about joining their investment team as a recruiter, I was eager to hear all about the job – and here we are!
What attracted you to join IGA Talent Solutions? What is different about IGA that sets it apart from other companies?
The role sounded like a really exciting opportunity and I was ready for a new challenge. I met with lots of the team during the interview process and it was obvious how much everyone loves working here. The culture and ethos of the company really appealed to me - for me, it's the people that really set the business apart.
Tell us a bit about yourself and what you like to do in your spare time.
A few years ago I began practicing Iyengar yoga and it's become a real passion of mine. I also love spending time with family and socialising with friends. I love meeting new people and chatting away! I’m always up for watching a good documentary.
